| YOUNG ADULTS AGES
18 TO 30 |

Aspiro's young adult program supports
a customized approach to treatment and personal
empowerment. Aspiro provides psycho-education,
individualized therapy, and adventure realism to
highlight choices and consequences for each
individual, which aids in guiding students toward
long-term ambitions.
Young adults are expected to perform
to a higher level of therapeutic intervention by
participating in the normal weekly therapeutic
services and by completing a leadership course that
is designed to help launch them back into their
normal lives.
Young adults will participate in
three key programs:
1.
Therapy:
Individual sessions and treatment
teams are conducted weekly. Therapy will focus on
living a sober, productive lifestyle, understanding
the stages of addiction, relapse prevention, dealing
with school/employment difficulties, and developing
proper and healthy relationships. The therapy
portion of the program includes daily assignments
and multiple group sessions each week where
additional insight and progress is made.
2.
Adventure:
Young adults may participate in high adventure
activities throughout the Western States. High
adventure activities coupled with adventure therapy
activities are designed to build self-efficacy.
Through these activities, young adults are taught
accountability and choice. Our trained guides are
skilled in communication strategies, crisis
intervention, and group counseling techniques.
3.
Leadership Program:
Aspiro not only wishes to address the therapeutic
needs of past and present challenges, but also
wishes to assist young adults in preparing to return
to their families, schools and employers with
successful skill sets. As part of the leadership
program, young adults will participate in multi-day
workshops and have regular family involvement.
Young adults are at Aspiro of their
own volition and retain their individual rights.
